The Mauritanian: Can innocence guarantee freedom?
The Namesake >> 30s review
Gogol (Kal Penn) born to Indian immigrants Ashima (Tabu) and Ashoke (Irrfan Khan) is undergoing an identity crisis. Living in the individualistic western world he wants to be independent and pursue his dreams. But his parents, with their Indian value system want him to be attached to home. To complicate matters he's very uncomfortable with his name, and wants to change it.
Will he return to family? Will he keep his name?
Rating: Green - a well-made movie based on the novel by Jhumpa Lahiri. A touching story that keeps you gripped till the end.
