Abby is an award winning show producer whose romantic life is quite sad. And her professional life is also taking a dip as her shows are not really clicking any more. The channel brings in a chauvinistic correspondent Mike Chadway to run a show called 'The Ugly Truth'.

After their initial disagreements Abby accepts Mike as he helps her get close to the man of her dreams. But there is something else that destiny has written for them.
