The Mauritanian: Can innocence guarantee freedom?
Iqbal >> Review and Trailer
Iqbal (ST) is a deaf and dumb child born to a cricket loving mother. He is even more passionate about the game than his mother and dreams of making it to the Indian Cricket Team. With stroke of luck he is admitted into the academy of Guruji (GK). There he develops animosity with Kamal who is the son of an influential person. As a result he is thrown out.
Just when he had lost all hope he finds out that Mohit (NS), the local drunkard, was once a cricketer. After a lot of pleading he agrees to coach Iqbal. The rest of the movie is about how the passion and determination of Iqbal help him counter the politics, and pressure from his father to help him in farming.
Rating: Green - another underdog making it to the top story. Well made.
