Gru is trying to settle into a normal, honest life with his adopted daughters. But destiny has written something else for him - as the Anti-Villain League recruits him for finding their stolen laboratory.

Gru suspects El Macho, the super-villain presumed to be dead to be the one behind the job. This, while El Macho's son is trying to woo his eldest daughter Margo.
