Moss is a hunter out to shoot something when he comes across a crime scene - a drug deal has gone wrong, and everyone involved is dead. He also finds the money - and takes it. And, that's what marks the beginning of his troubles.

Chigurh has been hired to retrieve the money. He is a psychopath - and will go to any extent and kill anyone.
