Milkha Singh's family was massacred during the partition of India in 1947. He managed to run away - but, the memories still haunt him. He was brought up by his elder sister and her abusive husband.

He has no sense of direction in life and is a small-time thug. That is till he falls in love with Biro. However, to marry her, he must become something.

He joins the Indian army, where his running talent is noticed by the superiors. Will this talent help him fulfill his dreams of getting his love and achieving greatness?

Rating: Gold - a well-made biopic about the great Indian athlete Milkha Singh! One of the best sports related movies ever. A definite must watch!
