Somewhere in the countryside in England there is a town where Lou Clark lives. When she loses her job in the tea shop, she takes up another high paying job - to be the caretaker of a handicapped man.

Will Traynor is  well-traveled, sophisticated, ultra-rich guy. He was a playboy, before a car accident, in which he lost his legs - and his flamboyant life. With no will to live, he has become extremely difficult.

Will Lou be able to bring Will back to life?
