L.A. Confidential: It's a crime saga that will shock you. It's a mystery that will keep you guessing. It's a thriller that will keep you riveted.
Ed Exley is the son of a decorated police officer who died in the line of duty. He is principled and goes by the rule book. After an incident at the police station he is labeled as a snitch by his colleagues, but is seen as a 'golden boy' by the higher ups.
Jack Vincennes is one of his colleagues, who agrees to become an official witness as he was blackmailed - along with his job he also serves as an expert consultant on a very popular Hollywood TV show.
Bud White, another one of Ed's colleagues is furious with him. Because his partner Stensland is the primary person going down in the entire affair.
However, things take an unexpected turn when Stensland is murdered on the same day he was removed from the police, in a mass killing in a restaurant. The investigation led by Ed concludes that it was a robbery gone wrong.
Will they be able to nab the murderers? Or is there something really sinister going on which they can't see?
Rating: Green - a superb crime thriller! Great acting, great screenplay - keeps you entangled right till the end. One of the gems that have aged very well.
