Jack lives with his Ma in a Room. That's his world. Every thing they do is well calculated to ensure that they do not run into issues such as shortage of supplies.

Ma is also trying to make sure that her son gets enough exercise to be physically fit, while also keeping him engaged in learning and other activities.

Old Nick visits them weekly, bringing supplies and goodies.

One day, Ma tells Jack that there is a real world outside the room, with people, and plants, and animals. That old Nick was an evil guy who had kidnapped her and caged her in the room. And, that they can together trick old Nick and escape.

Will they succeed?
