Wade Wilson aka Deadpool is working on making the world a better place by killing the criminals. But when one of the criminals attacks him at his home on his anniversary, he is taken by surprise, and his wife ends up dead. This breaks him and he tries to take his life, but he can't.

He finds purpose in saving the life of Russel aka Firefist, a young mutant, who is on the hitlist of Kable. Kable has come from the future to eliminate him because he grows up to become a super villain who killed his wife and daughter.
