The Mauritanian: Can innocence guarantee freedom?
The Green Mile: Paul Edgecomb didn't believe in miracles. Until the day he met one.
Paul Edgecomb leads the death row guards at the penitentiary in the early-mid 1900s. He is suffering from an undiagnosed urinary tract problem, that is making life hell for him. In addition, one of his subordinates, who is well-connected, is becoming a problem for everyone.
But what lies ahead completely changes his life. A huge prisoner, John Coffey, convicted of the brutal rape and murder of two young girls is brought for his death sentence. Paul soon realizes that John has special powers, miraculous ones. And, that he is a genteel, kind soul who could not have committed the crime he is accused for.
Will he be able to prove this? Will he be able to save John?
Rating: Green - a gripping moving story about humans, and humanity. Superb performances. Must watch!
