The acclaimed author William Borgens is going through a crisis in his life. His wife Erica, whom he loves, separated 3 years back hooking up with a younger fitter guy. 

While he is getting laid with his hot young neighbor Tricia, he hasn't been able to move on. He hasn't written a word in three years. 

He also needs to raise his teenage children - his son Rusty who is a teenager getting into his first relationship, and also exploring his writing skills, and daughter Samantha who, hurt deeply by a childhood incident, lost her faith in love - and became promiscuous.
